FAQ’s

We’re here to support your wellness journey!
Below are answers to some of the most common questions about our studio, services, and policies.

If you have additional questions, feel free to reach out to us directly.

Q: Can I try a class before committing to a package?
A: Yes! We offer introductory classes for new clients. Check our web page and Mindbody app for current offers.

Q: I have never done Pilates before. What should I book?
A: If you have any specific concerns and would like to have a bit more attention before you join the group classes, then you can book a 1:1 private session which covers every equipment such as Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrel, not to mention mat.

Also, we recommend starting with our Essential or Beginner classes if you’re new to Pilates and want to jump straight into group classes.

Q: Can teenagers do Pilates?
A: Yes, absolutely! Teenagers can safely practice Pilates and benefit greatly from it. Please note, clients must be aged over 16 to attend group classes with a parent/guardian present. Please contact us for more details.

Q: Can men do Pilates?
A: Absolutely! Pilates is for everyone, including men of all ages and fitness levels.

Many professional athletes, including footballers and swimmers, practice Pilates to improve core strength, flexibility, balance, and injury prevention. It's a highly effective workout for building functional strength, improving posture, and enhancing overall body awareness.

At Stanley Pilates and Yoga, our classes are designed to be inclusive and adaptable for all body types and fitness goals. Whether you're looking to build strength, improve flexibility, or support recovery, Pilates can be a fantastic addition to your wellness routine.

Everyone is welcome to experience the benefits of mindful movement!

Q: Do I need to be experienced to join classes?
A: Not at all! We welcome all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. Our instructors will guide you based on your experience and comfort level.

Q: Can I buy a package now and use it later? How about the expiry date?
A: Yes, you can absolutely purchase a package now and start using it at a later date! Your package will activate on the date of your first booking, not the date of purchase. Once activated, the package will be valid for a specific period depending on the package

Example: If you buy a 10-class package today but only book your first session two weeks later, the validity period will start on the date of your first class.

Q: What is 1:1 session and how can I book it?
A:  A 1:1 session (also called a private session) at Stanley Pilates and Yoga is a personalised, one-on-one class tailored specifically to your needs and goals.

Benefits of a 1:1 Session:

  • Personalised Attention: The instructor focuses entirely on you, providing personalised feedback and hands-on adjustments.

  • Customised Program: Sessions are designed to match your fitness level, goals, and any health considerations.

  • Faster Progress: With focused guidance, you can achieve results more effectively.

  • Ideal for Beginners: Perfect if you're new to Pilates or yoga and want to build confidence before joining group classes.

  • Rehabilitation Support: Great for those recovering from injuries or with specific health conditions needing extra care.

Ready to book your 1:1 session? Contact us today and we will arrange your session. We will do our best to accommodate you with your desired instructor. Late cancellation forfeits or charges apply for cancellations less than 12 hours before your session.

Q: How long are the classes?
A: Pilates classes last 45 minutes, Yoga classes last 60 minutes, and Chiropractic sessions last 20 minutes.

Q: Can I Book a Private Pilates, Yoga, and Chiropractic Session with One Private Pass?
A: Yes, absolutely! With a Private Pass, you have the flexibility to book private Pilates, Yoga, or Chiropractic sessions based on your needs and preferences.

How It Works:

  • Use your pass to schedule any one-on-one session with a Pilates instructor, Yoga instructor, or Chiropractor.

  • Mix and match sessions to suit your wellness goals—whether it's movement, relaxation, or specific health concerns.

Q: What should I bring to class?
A: Please bring a water bottle, a towel, and comfortable workout attire. Mats and props are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own Mat if preferred. Socks are required for Pilates classes for hygiene and safety purposes. Grip socks are encouraged for all Pilates classes and are available to purchase at the studio.

Q: Do you have shower facilities?
A: Yes! 🚿 At Stanley Pilates and Yoga, we provide clean and well-maintained shower facilities for your convenience. Whether you're heading to work after class or just want to freshen up, our showers are available for use after your session.

We recommend bringing your own towel and toiletries.🌿

Q: Can I attend both Yoga and Pilates with the same membership?
A: Yes! Our 5:1 Pilates Pass gives you access to all group classes, including Pilates, Yoga, and Mat Pilates. However, our 6:1 Yoga & Mat Pilates Pass is only valid for Yoga and Mat Pilates classes and does not include equipment Pilates.

If you're looking for full access, we recommend the 5:1 Pilates Pass to enjoy the best of both worlds!
